Has Marvel just confirmed Kraven The Hunter and The Sinister Six for the MCU?

Interesting news from the MCU has emerged today just in time to steal the thunder from San Diego Comic Con as Deadline are reporting that Numan Acar has been cast in a mysterious role known only as Dimitri for the Tom Holland led sequel Spider-Man: Far From Home, you can read the Deadline Article Here (but make sure you read this first!).  Though Sony have not confirmed who Dimitri is, best guess this refers to Spider-Man's first ever villain Dmitri Smerdyakov aka The Chameleon who first appeared all the way back in Amazing Spider-Man #1.

Smerdyakov was the secret son of Nikolai Kravinoff and one of his servants. Disgusted at the sight of his illegitimate son, Nikolai and his son, Smerdyakov's half brother Sergei Brutalized him, damaging him mentally and forcing him to repress his true identity even going as far as to use makeup and costumes to mask his identity.  Smerdyakov became a soviet spy and master of disguise and first appeared breaking into a facility to steal a missile placing the blame on Spider-Man, though he was caught and turned over to the police.

Now what could this mean for the MCU I hear you cry, well The Chameleon's half brother, Sergei Kravinoff goes by another more familiar name to Spidey fans, Kraven the Hunter!

Sergei Kravinoff, the son of former Russian aristocracy became one of the worlds greatest hunters naming himself Kraven the Hunter believing it would retain his sense of nobility, working in Africa he came across a witch doctor who gave him a herbal potion that enhanced his strength, speed and senses to that of a jungle cat making him a superior hunter, it also increased his life beyond his years.

Years later after becoming bored by hunting the worlds biggest game, Kravinoff was approached by his half brother Smerdyakov who suggested to him that he returns with him to New York and hunt Spider-Man, which would ultimately lead to his own downfall.

Okay, so this is a big deal on the villain front but it also has farther reaching implications for Peter Parker.  In Spider-Man: Homecoming we were introduced to Adrian Tooms aka the Vulture as well as his accomplice, Herman Schultz aka Shocker and in the post credit scene Mac Gargan aka Scorpion, they are three villains who have appeared in one of various lineups for the Supervillain team up, The Sinister Six!!  But these are not the only members......

In Spider Man: Far From home we have learned that Jake Gyllenhaal will be playing Quentin Beck aka Mysterio, who also was a member of the Sinister Six (This leaves two spaces to fill in their lineup) and though the Chameleon was a member at one point, I think it would be more likely that Spidey will defeat him in Far From Home encouraging his brother to appear and join the Super Villain group to defeat the Avenger as he did in the comic books.

This only leaves one spot remaining, who I believe could be the founder and leader of the MCU version of the Sinister Six, who could this be?  Norman Osbourne The Green Goblin?  I doubt it as a version of him may be appearing in Spider-Man Into The Spidey-Verse (Too many Goblins).  Could it be Sandman?  I doubt it, Rhino?  Nah!!  My hopes are with a certain, Dr. Otto Octavius.......

That's the News, tell us who you think could round up The Sinister Six lineup!

Stay Floaty!
