Characters from the Buffy verse that should have their own spin off before the Universe is rebooted:

Sorry but i am not happy that Hollywood are rebooting Buffy, this was one of my favorite shows growing up and coupled with its spin off show Angel I watched the Buffy-verse for a significant portion of my teen years but the culture of rebooting things in Hollywood is getting beyond ridiculous now.  I really hope that they decide to make this show a continuation of a universe that so many fans know and love instead of trying to rewrite what came before.

A reboot is a double aged sword and yes they can work on properties that were less than stellar, as a re imagining can give it the boost it needs while distancing itself from a lackluster incarnation.  but when you start to reboot Characters and Ideas from shows or movies that people genuinely enjoyed, you run the risk inevitably of being compared to the original which is what I believe will happen with Buffy.   It takes the show and holds it down hampering it with fans before it even begins.  Rant over

5) Nikki Wood

A slayer story set in the 70's?  Yes please, the story of a slayer named Nikki Wood who would eventually meet her match at the hands of non other than Spike, we only learn of this story in snippets through Sunnydales Season 7 Principle and son Robin Wood who recounted the final tale and battle on a Subway train in New York, I wanted more, i wanted to know more.

4) Sineya aka The First Slayer

A show based on the first woman to be given the strength and reflexes to become a slayer, taken against her will and forced to start a lineage that she never wanted to, this would be a fantastic exploration into the lore of the slayer and the life that is forced on the 'Chosen'

In Africa, Sineya was taken by The Shadow Men, who chose her to fight against Demons that plagued the world. They chained her up and merged her with the heart, soul and spirit of an entity known as the Shadow demon which turned Sineya into The First Slayer

3) Charles Gunn

Now I know what your saying, in the finale of Angel, Gunn was wounded and was slowly dying, but as the final horde from Wolfram and Hart descended on them the show cuts to black, we never see what happens to the demon hunter and sometimes lawyer.  He was a fantastic character who I hoped would survive the onslaught So fingers crossed they can bring him back in some iteration.

2) Faith

faith was a fantastic character for me, struggling with her powers, as she was created affectivley by mistake, followwing Buffy's death at the hands of The Master in season one and the subsequent emergence of Kendra and her death at the hands of Angel, Spike and Drusilla, Faith became a fan favourite, sassy and sarcastic even after her fall from grace when she accidentally killed a human aide to the Mayor in Season 3.  but having survived the final showdown with The First, there is so much more scope to continue on a story with Faith

1) Giles / Ripper

This was something that we were teased with a long time ago, a spin off set in England with the supreme watcher himself Giles as he tackles more spooky goings on in the land of umbrellas and bowler hats.  i would love to see this show and the idea of Giles trying to train a new batch of Watchers to cope with all of the Slayers that were awoken by Willow for the final fight with The First, it would be a great way to learn more about the lore and history of the Vampyre and the universe that surrounds it.
